I am Marlene, founder and designer of 54COUTURE.
My fascination with space, materiality, and artistic expression began early. I have always been drawn to the way objects shape atmosphere, how materials evoke emotion, and how design can transform a space beyond its purely functional purpose.
Through 54COUTURE, I explore the relationship between presence, identity, and space. Working with leather, hair-on-hide, and tactile surfaces, I create collectible pieces that blur the boundaries between art, interior design, and craftsmanship.

Working primarily with leather and hair-on-hide, we transform natural materials into contemporary rugs, objects, and accessories designed to bring character and presence into a space. Every piece is handcrafted and shaped by the unique qualities, textures, and imperfections that make each work one of a kind.
Sustainability is embedded in the foundation of our practice. The hides used throughout our collections originate as by-products of the European food industry and are reimagined through craftsmanship and design into lasting objects intended to endure for generations.
